Nampalys Mendy joined Leicester for £13m from Nice only last summer
Bordeaux have joined Nantes in the race for Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
The 25-year-old only joined the Foxes last summer after they shelled out a then club record fee of £13million to sign him from Nice.
However, the Frenchman endured a difficult first campaign in England and he ended up making just four Premier League appearances last season.
Mendy is now ready to leave Leicester in search of more action and Nantes have expressed an interest in him.
The French club are currently coached by Claudio Ranieri, who was the man responsible for bringing Mendy to the King Power last year.
However, according to reports in France, Bordeaux are also chasing the former Nice star as they look to strengthen their squad for the new season.
The French club are in the market for a new central midfielder and they are also tracking former Manchester City playmaker Javi Garcia, who now plays for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.
