Erik Lamela will miss the start of Tottenham’s new season
Erik Lamela is expected to miss the start of next season and could be out until at least October, according to The Times.
The Argentine’s absence due to a hip injury means he will have missed an entire year by the time he returns. It is a blow to the club’s pre-season preparations as the 25-year-old has had operations on both hips in recent months and had begun rehabilitation work.

Lamela last played for Spurs in a 2-1 win League Cup defeat to Liverpool on 25 October, while The Times also report that left-back Danny Rose will miss the start of the season, too.
Rose has been suffering with a knee injury and had an operation in May and is likely to return to training in August.
