Brahim Konate in action for France Under-20s
Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town are preparing an offer for Auxerre’s defensive midfielder Brahim Konate.
The 21-year-old, who has asked to leave the Ligue 2 side this summer, has already been the subject of a bid from Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem, who have had an initial proposal rebuffed.
And while Zulte remain in hot pursuit, Huddersfield are also reportedly keeping tabs on his situation, according to reports.
Standard Liege are another club in the mix and are looking to contact the player’s entourage to set the wheels in motion on a potential move to the Belgian giants.
Huddersfield are embarking on their first ever Premier League campaign and are keen to get business done early in the window.
Konate’s desire to leave Auxerre will certainly come as good news for the newly-promoted side, but they must act quickly to ward off interest from around Europe.
