Moussa Dembele celebrates scoring for Celtic
Everton could smash their transfer record for the second time this summer with a swoop for Celtic’s Moussa Dembele.
The Merseysiders shelled out £25million, with a potential further £5m in add-ons, to land England Under-21 goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in a club record deal last week.
They followed that up with the signing of Dutch midfielder Davy Klaassen for a fee of £23.5million – and the spending is not over yet.
Ronald Koeman is targeting a new striker, with Romelu Lukaku’s future in doubt, and has now reportedly set this sights on Dembele.
The Frenchman joined Celtic from Fulham last summer for just £400,000 and has been outstanding since his arrival.
He fired 32 goals in 48 games last season, helping Brendan Rodgers’ side go the entire domestic season unbeaten.
Rodgers does not want to lose the 20-year-old yet but it is understood Celtic will let Dembele go if they receive an offer in excess of £30million.
